Morocco/Spain

For our annual Spring trip this year we traveled through Morocco and Spain to refresh our minds and take in some inspiration before beginning development of the Spring 2019 collection.
We started in Marrakech, a city full of energy, culture, and contrast. We spent our days navigating the bustling, loud streets and exploring the more serene interior courtyards and cafes. We eventually met up with our guide Yassine from Morocco Sunny Days and made our way over the high Atlas Mountains spending days passing through and learning the history of small Berber villages that spread across the Draa Valley and into the Sahara. A night camping in the massive dunes of Merzouga after a camel ride into our camp was definitely an experience we will never forget.

Flying over the narrow Mediterranean and seeing the edge of Africa emerge into a seemingly endless coastline was incredible and the perfect last glimpse of Morocco. We made our way into Spain and up to Barcelona for a few days before driving further North along the coast into Costa Brava and Girona. The region was full of fields of wildflowers, historic farms and old villages, rocky cliffs, and picturesque towns built around small quiet beaches and was the perfect contrast to a week spent in the desert.
